Holidays & Hiking on the Schweibenalp

In addition to our seminar guests, we also warmly welcome individual guests. You can spend your holidays with us, take some time out and explore the beautiful surroundings of the Schweibenalp while hiking or skiing.

We offer you accommodation in our guesthouse in single, double or multi-bed rooms. Our guesthouse offers simple comfort, with newly renovated bathrooms on each floor. There is also a common room with a library and public computers, a snack bar and the dining room. Our Temple of Unity invites you to experience inner strength and stillness. On our large grounds you will find many places to relax in nature.

Both full and half board are available. For hikes, we will gladly prepare a packed lunch for you.

We are located in the middle of a large hiking area that stretches from Lake Brienz to the Faulhorn and Wildgärst. There are waterfalls, mountain lakes, forests and alpine meadows, up to peaks with exhilarating views to discover. In winter, Schweibenalp is an ideal starting point for skiing on nearby Axalp or snowshoeing. Lonely nature at its best.

Prices for adults per person:

Our double and shared rooms are mixed-gender by default. If you prefer a room with only same-gender guests, please indicate this when booking.

Children up to 6 years free, children 7-11 years 50% discount, children 11-16 years 33% discount

Visitor’s tax: adults (from 16 years) CHF 3.10 per day, children (6 – 15 years) CHF 1.- per day

Working Guest

Available on request from a minimum of 4 nights and only if the house requires it.

As a working guest you have the possibility to get a discount on the final bill. There is a CHF 10 discount per hour of assistance and up to four hours per day can be credited. We have a community morning circle at 08:40 on weekdays, where help is distributed according to the needs of the different areas.

Reductions are not cumulative.

Cancellation conditions for guests and seminar participants

up to 28 days before arrival: CHF 80.- handling fee
28 – 7 days before arrival: 25 % of the total costs
7 – 1 day before the date of arrival: 50 % of the total costs
on the day of arrival, or in case of no-show: 100 % of the total costs
in case of early departure: 100 % of the total costs
