The center of the unity Schweibenalp is located in the Bernese Oberland at 1100 meters, overlooking the turquoise Lake Brienz.
As a living and working community, we are hosts in our seminar center and maintain the permaculture gardens. We are part of the Global Ecovillage Network and have been contributing to the development of a holistic lifestyle and universal spirituality for 40 years.
In our seminar center, we host a variety of events, mainly in the areas of yoga, meditation, personality development, dance, music, bodywork and permaculture.

Our picturesque guesthouse with its 90 beds was built in the early days of Swiss mountain tourism. The guest rooms are simply and lovingly designed. On each floor there are newly built mixed floor showers and toilets. All meals are vegetarian and organic. We pay attention to a balanced composition of meals and use natural, if possible regional products. Depending on the season, we use herbs and vegetables from our permaculture gardens. We welcome our seminar guests, holiday guests and day visitors!
On the Schweibenalp we cultivate a multi-layered system of gardens with herbs, perennials, vegetables, seeds and mushrooms as well as a small apiary. The 20 hectares area of the Schweibenalp with the surrounding forest we develop continuously in the sense of permaculture to a productive and diverse landscape on.
As part of the Schweibenalp unit, the permaculture project contributes to the food supply of community members and seminar guests. In addition, we offer our products in markets as well as in the in-house shop.
At our permaculture education center, we impart knowledge about permaculture as a comprehensive design approach and holistic philosophy of life.

The center of unity Schweibenalp is a space for universal spirituality. The different traditions of wisdom have a common place of silence and power – the temple of unity. There take place daily ceremonies, kirtan / mantra singing and silent meditation. The fixed dates of fire ceremonies / Havan can be found on our website. Everyone is welcome here with their own religious and spiritual practice.
